programmers text editor for windows. Written by Matthew Inman his site

a cross platform alternative to Visual Studio, Dev C++ offers
flexibility and portability in a package covered by the GNU General
Public License. |

jGrasp is a Java based IDE for Java, C, C++,
Objective-C, Ada, and VHDL; CPG diagrams for Java and Ada; UML diagrams
for Java; and has an integrated debugger and workbench for Java. |

BitPim
is a open-source program that allows you to view and manipulate data on
many LG, Sanyo, and Samsung Phones. This includes the PhoneBook,
Calendar, WallPaper, RingTones (functionality varies by phone) and file
system for most Qualcomm CDMA chipset based phones. All you need is the
USB datakit. I am personally using this with the LG VX6100 from
Verizon Wireless with
their Mobile Office Kit and it works great for me. |

QuickTime Alternative will allow you to play QuickTime files (.mov, .qt
and other extensions) without having to install the official QuickTime
Player. It also supports QuickTime content that is embedded in webpages. |

Mozilla. It is just about the best
browser in the world. It has built in pop-up blocking, and none of the
security flaws of Internet Explorer. Its the only browser I use.

OpenSSH is a free version of the
SSH protocol suite. It is opensource and distributed under a BSD
license. This is much more secure than the Windows telnet and FTP
protocols. If you need a SSH client check out Putty. |

IESpell is a free Internet
Explorer browser extension that spell-checks text input boxes on a Web
page. The program installs as a new button in the IE toolbar (as well as
a new menu item under Tools). After filling in a form, click the IESpell
button and it pops up a dialog similar to the Microsoft Word spell
check. |

freeware program for DVD "backup". It will create ISO images of any DVD,
remove region codes, and remove disabled functions. DVD Shrink doesn't
burn, you'll need a separate program for that, however if you use Nero
it will automatically open and burn when the ripping is done. |

since the user can freely select the source and target folders. Any file
